An in-depth course providing computer hands-on training specifically designed for surveyors and civil engineers using the AutoCAD Land Development Desktop Release 2 program and its plug-ins. Also ideal for those who are considering upgrading to this program and want to become familiar with its features and aplications. Topics include:
Working with point objects and labels, terrain models and contour objects, and COGO linework and labeling.
Automated mapping functions such as description keys and figures, how to download and process files from Trimble GPS receivers, working with profiles and cross sections for existing ground analysis and roadway development.
Using the new grading object to design and plot proposed site features such as building pads and parking lots, import and export files from other drawing formats such as Microstation .DGN, link formation from databases to AutoCAD files (basic GIS), and working with raster images (scanned files and aerial photographs).
