Presenting Powerful Presentations



Objectives:

To become aware of the nonverbal dimensions of Presentations:
   How I look
   How I sound
To learn two different formats for organizing presentations:
   How I organize what I say
   Informative
   Persuasive
To learn how to integrate audio visuals (power point) into a presentation.
To understandthe importance of audience analysis

Day 1

8:30 - 10:00   Introductions & Presentations #1

12:00 - 1:00   Lunch
1:00 - 2:00   Steps of Powerful Presentations: Who, What and How
2:00 - 3:00   Audio Visual Guidelines
3:00 - 4:30   Begin Work on Presentation #3
         Informative or Persuasive Team Presentation

Day 2


8:30 - 9:30   Overview and Final Preparations for Presentation #3
9:30 - 12:30   Present Presentation #3

All presentations will be videotaped.
Participants should bring laptops if they are available.

INSTRUCTOR:


Mary Anna Weber is president of Angotti-Weber & Associates a Strategy and Leadership Development Organization. The kinds of consulting projects she provides are: Strategic Thinking and Planning, Leadership Development, Developing and Sustaining High Performing Teams, Hiring and Interviewing Practices, Facilitating High Outcome Meetings, Developing Presentations Skills that integrate Technology (Power Point), and helping clients through executive coaching. She works with Transportation Departments throughout the United States and has been a presenter for the National AASHTO Leadership Conference for the last 10 years; she works with health care organizations, education, and private sector companies and is currently working with the Anti Submarine Warfare group in Hawaii assisting with a Strategic Plan.
